GDPR - A Roadmap for Controllers
GDPR became effective May 25, 2018. For Companies, the risks of non-compliance can range from up to €20 million to 4% of annual revenues. It's imperative that companies know what is necessary in assessing their compliance obligations with GDPR. The goal of this webinar series is to go beyond simply explaining the GDPR and its requirements. This webinar is constructed in a way to do a deeper dive on specific topics relating to GDPR to equip any company with advanced knowledge, use cases, and legal requirements to be compliant before the May 25, 2018 deadline. This class will teach you:
- How and to what extent your business is affected by GDPR.
- What new rights do data subjects have under GDPR, and how that affects your company.
- What it means to be a "controller" or a "processer" under GDPR.
- What types of data and services require compliance with GDPR.
- What steps are necessary for controllers to meet their legal compliance.

One size does NOT fit all - Negotiating SLA's/LD's that Make Sense
Taking a one-size fits all approach to SLAs/LDs in IT procurement contracts can set a project up for failure from the get go. The earmarks of a project’s success (and failure) should be well-defined and communicated consistently throughout the project cycle, and SLAs/LDs should relate clearly to the project’s ultimate objectives. In this session you’ll learn:
- Why a one-size-fits-all approach is not best in defining SLAs/LDs
- How to help your customer define their true requirements for a project’s success
- How to draft SLOs to capture these requirements in your RFx
- How to define SLAs/LDs in your contracts that are realistic, attainable, proportional, and easily trackable and enforceable

- Characteristics in job descriptions that will protect jobs from Artificial Intelligence
- Performance Management complexities
- Future expectations of front line managers
- Civil Rights and the inclusion of Artificial Intelligence
- The impact to a healthy global economy

Developing and Implementing a Sourcing Policy
Just hired to fix or create a sourcing and supply management function? Looking to "rejuvenate" an existing organization? Good grip on the sourcing/procurement process but struggling to tie in the supplier management component? So many things to do, where do you start? I would suggest it starts with defining what's important to your organization by defining a corporate sourcing and supplier management (SSM) policy. Gaining stakeholder commitment, socializing, and building your team to meet and exceed expectations. Here is an example of a Fortune 500 Global Sourcing Policy which also includes requirements through each phase of the supplier life-cycle (selection, contracting, managing, and exit) based on supplier risk and includes a RACI.
- Establishing foundation and common language
- Role Clarification
- Maintaining leverage throughout supplier relationship
- Leave with example of real world policy
