The President opened the meeting at 6.45pm
- Feedback from previous meetings
The previous meeting was held prior to the Downham dinner. The dinner was great success enjoyed by all present including the National President Louise Regan.
- Feedback and business from Executive
Motions proposed by the executive:
1New PA system - That a charge of £50 for half a day or £100 for a whole day. A member of Norfolk NUT Executive must be present. The charge may be waived for events supported by Norfolk NUT.

Following a brief explanation and discussion the proposal was carried unanimously. AGREED
2Norwich Peace Fair is being held on Saturday July 15th. We have been offered a table for £30. The Executive propose:
That if volunteers come forward we pay £30 to have a table at Norwich Peace Fair.

3Tina Humber intends to step down as Treasurer from 1stSeptember 2017. The Executive propose:
That Steve Smith (Assistant Treasurer) be appointed as Acting Treasurer from 1st September 2017 until the AGM.

- NEU update
Scott Lyons introduced the ATL Norfolk Branch secretary Bob Groome to the meeting. Scott gave a brief outline of the new union. There were no questions.
- Current Campaigns
Scott outlinedthecurrentcampaigns which include concerns over the funding crisis, excessive workload and work life balance and mental health issues and stress
- Norfolk New to Teaching Conference update
70 members attended the conference. It was felt that the workshops had been very successful. The President thanked all involved in theorganisation of the conference.
- Notices
It was announced from the floor that NHS worker s are to protest outside the Forum having had their meeting cancelled by the Forum organisers. There were no further details.
- Presentation
Scott Lyons presented a gift to Chrissie Smith on her retirement as a Divisional Secretary. He thanked her for the support and guidance she had given him and for her hard work on behalf of Norfolk members.
The President thanked members for attending saying she was pleased with the size of the turnout. Members were then invited to partake of the barbeque.
