Job Purpose /
- To provide a professional, friendly, and efficient service to the catering department’s customers.

Supervising / None / Contract / Full time, Term time only plus one additional week (39 Weeks)Salary Band 2 £13,853 pro rata
Key Responsibilities /
- To provide efficient and effective service, understanding the needs and requirements of site users while maintaining excellent customer service.
- To prepare, serve, and store food to the required standard of hygiene and best practice.
- To store and clean equipment and cutlery to the required standard of hygiene and best practice.
- To remove waste to the appropriate designated area.
- To transport large hot trolleys to serving areas
- To demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic, committed, and flexible attitude towards customers and other colleagues.
- To deal with customer concerns, requests and complaints in a helpful and friendly manner to conclusion.
- To use powered equipment where necessary, which may include heavy lifting
- To undertake and achieve industry recognised Food Hygiene qualification if not already held.
- To maintain accurate records as required.
- To handle cash or cashless system, if required.
- Carry out a range of additional duties that may arise from time-to-time in accordance with the nature of the role and level of responsibility.

Education, Qualifications, Training
- Minimum of 1 year experience in acatering role.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Relevant and up to date experience of catering equipment
- Knowledge of HACCP
- Experience working in a catering setting
- Understanding of safe manual handling practices.
- Good customer service skills.
- Good communication skills (written, verbal, or pictorial)
- Managing own workload
- Work well under pressure
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail.
