WORTHING STRIDERS MEMBER APPLICATION

The Club welcomes all persons interested in running, whether they are beginners, occasional joggers or dedicated runners. Members can participate in any type of road or multiterrain events, from fun runs to marathons and beyond!

Some level of fitnessis required, but anyone can come along and try the Club. There is no obligation to attend training sessions, meetings or races although you will be encouraged! We meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 18.30 and on some Sunday mornings at pre-arranged times and locations.

Subscriptions are payable each year on 1st September with pro-rata rates if joining after 1 April. The fee is currently £65.00 which covers the use of the West Worthing Club, for running related activities. Worthing Striders will pay your £15.00 registration fee to England Athletics from Striders’ funds, but we ask that you try and help out during our annual race “Highdown Hike”, which helps to raise funds to cover your EA fee.

When you become a member of, or renew your membership with Worthing Striders you will automatically be registered as a member of England Athletics. We will provide England Athletics with your personal data which they will use to enable access to an online portal for you (called MyAthletics). England Athletics will contact you to invite you to sign into and update your MyAthletics portal (which, amongst other things, allows you to set and amend your privacy settings). Please note, that we also hold the details you provide on our Worthing Striders membership database and details of your name address and date of birth are also provided to West Worthing Tennis Club [WWTC]to process the club entry swipe card. Next of kin details do not need to be provided if you prefer not to. Please be aware that we have to advise you about the holding of this information under the General Data Protection Regulation. This information is not shared with anyone outside the club and is made available only to Worthing Striders Committee members, England Athletics and WWTC.
