Paul Iannaccone added “I'm extremely proud to be appointed coach of Bury Ladies. It's an honour for me to represent my hometown club and to be able to share all I have learnt over the years away from Bury with these girls. I'm very excited by everything that is happening in Bury at the moment. The men's football club are having an excellent start to the season. The Academy moving to Carrington and the facilities available are fantastic. The Community Trust is thriving and has superb people making things happen like the Football College and other brilliant projects. If I can play a small part in helping the club on the ladies side it fills me with pride. I have a good squad here with lots of talent and they are working very hard to improve. The structure is there for us to produce quality female footballers for years to come. I can't wait to see what the future brings”.
Bury Girls & Ladies FC started to re-build their senior section two years ago following the successful growth of the youth and junior sections. The young talent in this age group will now be developed with Paul’s help as they strive to work their way up the women’s football pyramid.
The Club is able to provide coaching for girls and ladies from 6 years through to adult, with 15 teams in total.
