The 2008 KTCCCA Meet of Champions will be held at Masterson Station Park on Rt. 421 in Lexington.

This year the meet will host the 6th & Under & Middle School State Championships. Athletes can only compete in one race. There will be no charge for the JV race if you have entered a varsity team. Unlimited entries for the JV race. $10 per individual if you have not entered a varsity team. Only one team per school will be allowed in the 6th & Under and Middle School divisions. All extra runners can be entered in the Open Race at no charge.

Entry fees: $40 per high school team(girls and boys are separate teams, teams may consist of up to 10 runners)(You may add additional runners beyond 10 for $10 per runner or an additional $40 per 10 runners which ever is less. In other words $50 for 11, $60 for 12, $70 for 13, $80 for 14-20 runners, $120 for 24-30 runners, etc Top five score, sixth and seventh runners displace. Entry Deadline. Saturday October 25. Note the high school races will have classes combined with separate team awards for each class, as per vote of KTCCCA meeting, November, 2007. $25 late fee per team(boys & girls are considered separate teams) for entries or entry fees received after October 25. . In other words both entry fees AND entries must be in by October 20 to avoid late fee. A SLOW BOOKKEEPER IS NOT AN EXCUSE. GET THE P.O. IN EARLY!!!! (AS IN NOW!!!!)

$25 per 6th & Under or Middle School team(girls and boys are separate teams, teams may consist of up to 7 runners) $10 entry fee per individual athlete. You may enter only one 6th & Under or Middle School team. All additional 6th & under and Middle School runners may be entered in the Open Race. Make checks payable to KTCCCA. Entry Deadline is Saturday, October 25. $25 late per team(boys & girls are considered separate teams) for entries or entry fees received after October 25. In other words both entry fees AND entries must be in by October 25 to avoid late fee.

Admission charge will be $5 per person. Remind parents and fans to have correct admission ready at the gate to speed entrance to the Park. Coaches who are members of the KTCCCA will be the only people admitted free. Coaches must be members of the KTCCCA for their coaches or individuals to compete in the Meet of Champions. Awards-Medals to the top fifty in each race. Team awards to the top five teams in each race. (No team awards in Open 6th & under, Open Middle School , and JV races)

11:20 AM 6th Grade & Under Boys & Girls Open Race 3000 Meters 6th grade and below No charge if you enter

a 6th & Under team $10 per individual if you don’t enter a team

in the above races.

12:00 PM Middle School Girls State Championship 4000 Meters 8th grade and below $25/team $10/individual

12:40 PM Middle School Boys State Championship 4000 Meters 8th grade and below $25/team $10/individual

1:20 PM Middle School Boys & Girls Open Race 4000 Meters 8th grade and below No charge if you enter

a middle school team. $10 per individual if you don’t

enter a team in the above races.

1:45 PM Kentucky USATF Masters/Open 4K XC Championships (see www.ktccca.org website for more information) Must be 2008

USATF members. Entry fee $15 by October 25. $20 after October 25.

(A high school varsity team may consist of 10 runners—you can run an additional for additional fees(see Entry Fees above) or run them in the all in the JV race free)

NOTE AN ADDITIONAL ASPECT HAS BEEN ADDED TO THE MEET OF CHAMPIONS. DUE TO THE USATF REGION 5 MEET BEING HELD THE SAME DAY AS THE KHSAA STATE MEET, WE WILL USE THE MEET OF CHAMPIONS AS A QUALIFYING MEET FOR THE USATF REGION 5 MEET IN HUNTINGTON, WEST VIRGINIA, SATURDAY, NOVEMBERF 15. THE REGION 5 MEET IS BASED ON AGE GROUPS BASED ON AGE ON DECEMBER 31, 2008. AGE GROUPS ARE 10& UNDER, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-18. ENTRY FORMS WILL BE POSTED ON THE www.ktccca.org webpage. ENTRY FEE FOR REGION 5 IS $7.00 PER ATHLETE. THERE IS AN INDIVIDUAL ENTRY FORM (ATHLETES MUST BE MEMBERS OF USA TRACK & FIELD) AS WELL AS A TEAM FORM (NO ADDITIONAL FEE FOR TEAMS). THOSE ENTRY FORMS AND FEES WILL NEED TO BE SENT TO FRANK MIKLAVCIC, 319 ERIN WAY, FRANKFORT, KY 40601 BY NOVEMBER 6. USATF JUNIOR OLYMPICS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS WILL BE HELD IN MECHANICSBURG, VIRGINIA. From I-64 west- Take Exit 65. Turn right. Go down the hill to the intersection. Turn left toward Lexington. Go 7.8 miles. Turn left in to Masterson Station Park.

From Bluegrass Parkway west-Take Bluegrass Parkway to Versailles Road. Go to New Circle Rd. Take New Circle north to Rt. 421 Exit. Turn left. Go 2.2 miles to Masterson Station Park on your right.

From I-75 North- Take Exit 115 Rt 922. Turn right. Go to New Circle Rd and turn right on to New Circle Rd. Take Exit 7. turn right. Go 2.1 miles. Turn right in to Masterson Station Park.

From I-75 South- Take Exit 113 Turn right on to Broadway. Go to New Circle Rd. Turn right on to New Circle. Take Exit 7. turn right. Go 2.1 miles. Turn right in to Masterson Station Park.

From I- 64 East. Turn north on I-75 and follow above directions for I-75 South.
