About the Artist:

This course is being run by artist Bob Kilvert. He is an accomplished artist and tutor with many years of experience as painter, illustrator, designer and then tutor. He later developed collage producing portraits, life

studies, still life and landscapes which are classically figurative and at the same time innovative in an abstract and sometimes surreal sense. There are no cut edges in the collages, they are constructed entirely of torn magazine print without added line or colour.

Included in the package:

Course fees cover all tutoring, unlimited use of the studio and facilities, and a bottomless tea and coffee pot. Also this year we will include Café breaks including tea or coffee and light lunches from The Wave, Archie’s Loft and Elizabeth’s pasties.

The Location:

Coverack is situated on the South West coast of Cornwall on the Lizard Peninsula. It is a small traditional fishing village and is a spectacular spot attracting many visitors.

The quaint harbour, beautiful beach and coastline are excellent for inspiring artists. The village boasts several eating houses ranging from small cafes to the village pub and a restaurant at the village hotel. There are three shops, an art gallery and a church.

The Course includes:-

Three days of professional art teaching with plenty of individual guidance and an unusual opportunity to consider the process, techniques and to develop practical skills in the medium of collage.

The days will be spent developing collage techniques including the use of colour and texture and the correct use of adhesives and then practical experimental sessions.
