REGULATIONS

WORLD SAMBO CHAMPIONSHIP

AMONG MASTERS

23-26 October 2011, Kallikratia - Chalkidiki (Greece)

  1. General conditions

1.1.Championships are held according to the Rules of Sambo currently in force and Regulations of FIAS.

1.2Championships are organized and held by International Federation of Amateur Sambo (FIAS), Hellenic Minister of Culture – Secretariat General of Sports, Sports Committee of Chalkidiki and Hellenic Federation Sambo.

1.3Championships are held to popularize and develop sambo, to consolidate the International sports contacts.

2.Date and Place

2.1Competitions will take place from 23 to 26October 2011 in the city ofKallikratia - Chalkidiki, Greece, in sport complex “Sportshall Agios Pavlos” (Nea Kallikratia, Chalkidiki, P.C. 63080).

3.Participation terms

3.1The right to participate is granted to athletes-members of national teams whose home country National Sambo Federation is affiliated to FIAS and paid FIAS annual fee. Participants are allowed to compete only with FIAS license book with 2011 annual fee payment note (license costs– US $25).

3.3 The applications for participation should be sent to Hellenic Federation Sambo till latest September 3rd, 2011 (find attached the application form). Each application must have the information about the number of participants.

3.4 Participants’ check-roll must be sent to Hellenic Federation Sambo till latest September 13th, 2011. It must include the following information about the participants: full name, date of birth, passport number, employment (company and position), date of arrival and departure.

4. Technical Information

4.1 Categories:

Age categories: 35-39y, 40-44y, 45-49y, 50-54y, 55-59y, 60-64y, 65y and older

Weight categories: 62 kg, 68 kg, 74 kg, 82 kg, 90 kg, 100 kg, +100 kg

4.2Competitions are held according to the FIAS Rules

4.3Each sportsman must have medical examination before leaving the home country for the competitions. The results have to be marked in the fighter’s license.

4.4The Organizing Committee guarantees first aid to all members of sport delegations.

4.5Team places are given according to the points collected in the individual classification.

4.6 Individual championships are held in groups according to the system of eliminations and repercharges.

4.7All participants, coaches, referees, and representatives must have medical insurance.

4.8Only the international category referees are allowed to umpire according to the FIAS official invitation.

4.9All delegations should have a cassette/CD with the National anthem and 2 National flags.

5. Awarding of winners

5.1 Sportsmen who won first three prize places in individual championship will be awarded with medals and diploma.

6. Official Ceremonies

6.1Participants will take part in the official ceremonies of World Championship.

6.2National anthems and rising of National flags ceremonies are performed in the honour of the winners.

7.Financial terms

7.1From October,23th to 26th 2011, the FIAS President, Secretary General, chairman of the FIAS referee’s board (judicial commission), chielf judge of competitions,chief secretary of competitions and 20 World Championship referees receive meals and accommodation at the expense of the Organizing Committee.

7.2 Board and accommodation is USD 100 / 75 euro (preferred in euro) per person per day

7.3 Participants staying in other hotels to participate in the World Championship have to pay a participation fee to the Organizing Committee in amount of 100 euro.

7.4 The Organizing Committee provides members of the delegations with the transfer airport-hotel-place of the competition and back (transport fee is 20 euro).

7.5 Managers of sport delegations have to fulfil all financial obligations with Organizing Committee on the arriving day and carry out all accreditation demands.

8. Accommodations, meals, and transfer

8.1 All the participants will be lodged in the hotels of Kallikratia.

8.2 All the participants will be served with meals 3 times a day.

9. Miscellaneous

9.1All the participants will be provided with visa support necessary for obtaining visas in Embassies and Consulates General of Greece.

9.2Current correspondence connected with the World Championship should be forwarded to Hellenic Federation Sambo.
