Project Description
SSEWEBSR project is the re-engineering of the complete House Move Customer Service processes in SSE (Scottish and Southern Energy plc.) with a new user friendly, scalable and easily-learned user interface to the existing legacy systems of SSE. The solution has been integrated with mainframe using LIF tool designed by Infosys. The solution is built around Microsoft Customer Care Framework (CCF), Windows Workflow Foundation (WF). It uses multi layered architecture which is built using web service factory by Infosys. The web services are designed in .Net which interacts with windows workflow which internally calls LIF to hit the Mainframe database.

Project Description
The project involved modification of the existing Store Group functionality to include additional features to efficiently manage store groups. This extension will provide the capability to create and maintain store groups. Additional features include the creation of a location list, addition and deletion of stores from the location list, ability to copy a location list, ability to restrict the updating location lists by user profiles, ability to include comments to describe a location list, ability to add, modify and view location groups from an external application integrated to location groups.

The research project was a case study based on Infosys Technologies Ltd. and its strategic alignment with the changing global IT industry. The aim of the research was to find, the major factors that lead to the IT outsourcing decisions and analyse the changing scenario of the global IT outsourcing industry. More specifically, it focused on how Infosys, a leading India IT service provider is adapting to the change and what factors will enable the firm, to remain a preferred choice in the next decade. The research followed a qualitative approach in analysing the firm’s strategy. The primary data was collected from Infosys employees and their clients. The secondary data was fetched from annual reports and other published works.
