Rough Draft

What If?

The year was 2157 and they came. They came and promised us everything. They said that we would have better jobs and everyone would be happy. They helped the people and they were so generous. The aliens would help the parents when they needed someone to baby-sit their kids. The aliens were so good with the kids but it was like they wanted the parents to leave so they could come over and play with the kids.

Ten years after they came there were fewer and fewer children. A 14-year-old girl named Shauna was convinced that the aliens had been kidnapping the towns’ people’s kids and was taking them back to their planet.

It was getting late and Shauna needed to get home for dinner, as she was turning the corner; and she looked down an alleyway she saw an alien with a kid. They were fighting because the kid didn’t want to do something. Shauna turned around for a slip second and turned back the alien was gone but the kid however laid dead in the cold ally way. “Oh, my, gosh!” was all that would come out of her mouth. And she ran all the way home.

“Mom I need to talk to you. Umm I don’t know how to say this but… I don’t

think that those aliens are as nice as they seem. Because-“

“Honey I don’t want to hear it. Now go and get ready for dinner.”

As she went upstairs she looked out the window and saw that same alien from earlier that night; going into their neighbor’ house across the street. The mother was saying something about I will be back around 10:30ish ok. Shauna knew that she had to do something, so she sunk out the window and walked across the street. She looked through the window and saw the mother with the alien and the baby. The alien seemed to be really nice to the kid. As she was watching she pulled out her ‘high tech’ video recorder and was taping and catching everything they said.

The next thing she knew she was waking up to the screaming of her mother’s voice. She saw the sun beating into her sleepy eyes. “Did I fall asleep? Oh-my-gosh! I hope I caught everything. Man if I didn’t then no one will ever believe me.”

She went home and watched the tape. She was ashamed of what she saw.What she saw on the tape was that right after the alien took the kid and throw him against the chair. The baby was crying and crying the alien told him to ‘SHUT UP! And then he pulled out a book, and then he started saying something really weird. He must have been speaking his own language because she couldn’t understand him at all. The baby was just crying he told the baby that the alien species was going to take over this world by killing all the kids. As for the parents he was going to send them to a “vacation” As Shauna wiped the tears from her pale face, she saw that the alien was gone and she could hear the baby crying. But then it just stopped. No more crying no more talking. Nothing. She looked behind her .She saw her mom, and her mom’s friends. They had seen everything.

Shauna’s mother, and friends told her that she should take it to the cops. The cops took it to the highest authority. Soon enough everyone knew about it. There were rumors going around, and everyone was scared to leave their house. The cops had the military, the army, and even the marines as their backup. They attacked the aliens and killed all of them.

For a few years everything was good. That was until someone claimed they saw a ships landing in the woods…….
