The aim is to ensure:
Ø that the progress of the disadvantaged pupils is at least in line with that of the other pupils in our care
Ø improved self esteem, confidence and emotional stability
Ø improved participation in school based activities
Ø improved participation in extra curricular activities.
The impact:
ü improved rates of progress: in summer 2016, all 3 disadvantaged pupils achieved age related expectations in reading, writing and maths; in summer 2013, both disadvantaged Year 6 pupils attained Level 4+ in English and Maths; one made 2 levels progress in English and Maths, the other made 3 levels progress in English and 2 levels progress in Maths
ü improved self esteem, raised confidence and emotional stability: eg our 2 ELSAs, one each in KS1 and KS2, have supported more than half the disadvantaged children
ü improved participation in school activities and visits: eg through school trips
ü participation in extra curricular clubs and activities: provision of lunchtime clubs increased by funding TAs to run clubs
ü enrichment from music tuition and clubs: as above.
