“Sacrifice” of Praise
1
And, the Lord was there for me,
He saved me
I was a lonely sin-sick soul,
Tossed about by every wind of doctrine
Haggard and wretched, miserable, blind and naked
2
I was out in the world enjoying what I thought was
Right; but all along I was serving satan with all my might
But it was to me the thing to do…
‘til God showed me a better way – a real BRIGHTER day
3
And now I am walking with Him
He, I’m sure, loves me with an everlasting love
A love that knows no end, no beginning
And forgets the fact that I was sinning
4
I was sinning when he loved me,
He brought me into his marvelous light!
That light shines before me;
I can never fall if I continue in this light
5
God is so good to me
He has sent His Son to die for me,
His Son to give me all the victory;
Jesus died in my place, he died where I should die
6
And so now I offer up to Him praise,
Because he has made the sacrifice for me
I offer Him all the praise, the adoration,
The thanksgiving from my heart…it flows;
7
No one knows the tears I have shed,
The times when I was there… in my bed
Or washing my hair…I felt a tear
The soap on the plate, it stopped…I sobbed
8
I sobbed because I have sinned, I have made Him hurt again
With excruciating pain,
I am cut to the bone, I am in sorrow
My heart breaks, my heart melts
9
As I think how GOOD He has been to me
How loving, how merciful,
How kind and true
Dear Lord; Dearest Lord
10
I offer up to you my “sacrifice” of praise
Because…it is…
Because it is… that you have made me worthy,
Worthy enough to be able to offer you praise
11
Make my praise acceptable to you Lord
Make it something that I can use to strengthen my heart
Something to bring me closer to you;
12
Lord, I offer up to you my “sacrifice” of praise
For you have made me worthy enough to praise you;
THANK YOU LORD for the PRIVELEGE OF PRAISE!
