Context
Over the past four weeks we have examined the functional and multimedia purpose of Music. In detail we have studied Music in Film.
Task 1: Paired Movie Composition (2 max)
1. Compose for a muted scene appearing in a film approx 1- 2 minutes. (due to editing times you may only select one from below)
2. Create and use the storyboard to depict your musical plans/idea for the footage.
3. You must then melodically score (write) and record (audio) your piece.
4. You must each present evidence of separate sections of individuals work
5. Submit a final synopsis of what, why and how you created the sound with details. (200 words approx)
6. YOU must notate a bar ostinato, riff, or motif that you used to bring a character, emotion or setting to life.
7. The submission will require the blending of two wav files (one non-musical file (Foley artistry, narration and sound effects) plus one melodically scored/recorded file (music). Timing and editing will be essential J
8. Record sound via Sony recorder, Ipad, Voice Recorder or Pro Tools
