NISSAN LANNIA RECEIVES ‘BEST NEW MODEL TO COME AWARD’
AT AUTO SHANGHAI 2015
SHANGHAI, China (May 11, 2015) – Nissan Lannia, making its global debut at Auto Shanghai 2015, stood out among the 109 global premier models at Auto Shanghai 2015 and was awarded as the “Best New Model to Come” by Auto Shanghai and six leading Chinese media.
Evolved from Friend-ME and Lannia Concept vehicles, Lannia is Nissan’s first product designed and developed for young Chinese generations who are the trendsetters and leaders of tomorrow. They are expected to represent more than half of the market here by end of 2015.
Lannia represents a continuing commitment to the Chinese market and engagement with local talents who were in the driver’s seat for the product design and development processes through their understanding of the desires and demands of young customers. Tailored to the needs of the young Chinese generation, Lannia gives expression to their personalities with a sporty and dynamic outlook, and the latest Nissan design signatures, such as V-motion grille, floating roof and boomerang-shaped LED lights.
Lannia was unveiled by Nissan President and CEO Carlos Ghosn on April 20. It is expected to be available for sale in Chinese market this autumn and to be an important contributor to the company’s sales growth in China.
With 928,000 visitors throughout the auto show period, the Nissan stand attracted nearly 1,000 Chinese and international journalists during the press days April 20 and 21.
