JOB TITLE:Charity Worker

SALARY:£12-14K per annum

HOURS:37½ hours per week

DURATION:Permanent

LOCATION:Lancaster

HOLIDAYS:24 days per annum

PENSION:3% Contribution to agreed scheme

We are an independent charitable youth organisation thatdelivers positive experiences to young people through a wide range of projects, activities and support services to our member clubs and other youth groups throughout the wider Lancashire area.

Our primary role is as a delivery and ‘doing’ organisation. In order to do this we need effective administration to bring all our efforts together.

As a result this creates a great role for someone willing to apply themselves to a huge and diverse range of tasks, some of which you’ll need skills for and ones you can learn. From updating websites to driving vans and from dealing with the post to organising talent nights this is an extremely diverserole which requires an enthusiastic person who will embrace the values and aims of our association.

Our aim is to deliver positive experiences to young people through a wide range of projects, activities and support services to our member clubs and other youth groups throughout the wider Lancashire area.

Here are some of the tasks which will underpin the work of the appointed person:

  1. ADMINISTRATION – DAILY

-dealing with post, emails, filing, telephone

-typing letters, reports as and when required

  1. COMMUNICATION – WEEKLY/REGULARLY

-update website

-produce monthly ezine – newsletter

-liaise with member clubs

  1. PREMISES - REGULARLY

-Ensure building is clean and various health and safety / fire procedures are complied with

  1. TRAINING/ PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

-Attend an overnight in-service training which are held twice per annum and other training relevant to the position

  1. ITC – ONGOING

-Ensure the computer system is maintained via our service and maintenance providers

-Ensure the database is updated and appropriate

  1. ORGANISATIONAL ACTIVITIES

-Help with annual general meeting, fundraising and other on-going project activities

  1. MARKETING/ PROFILE

-Produce certificates, invitations, flyers along with PowerPoint presentations, when required

  1. TEAM SUPPORT

-Assisting with the delivery of youth activity programme, when required

  1. OTHER TASKS

-As and when needed to ensure the effective running of the organisation

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory CRB certificate and suitable references.
