Harmston Matters
Your monthly HMH update……
Issue 33: February 2016
We are Bronte
Harmston Memorial Hall tries to deliver a mixed bag of entertainment throughout the year and we welcomed We are Bronte by Publick Transport Theatre Company . Their crazy homage to the Bronte sisters was unique, clever, bizarre physical comedy that was appreciated by a full audience. We were also treated to an extra 30 mins of satirical songs that were highly, irreverently amusing and completed a very successful evening of theatre. Rural touring gives us access to good theatre, music and live performance arts and the village should really get behind this important addition to our village life.

Harmston’s Foodie Favourites
HMH is putting together a cookery book of villagers’ favourite dishes. If you’re a budding Nigella or Jamie or fancy giving Mrs Berry a run for her money why not send us your favourite recipe? Also, if there’s anyone out there who would like tolead this project for us please come forward – you can email us on the address below or call David 721420 or Jo 722919.
Another ‘shout-out’ to all young Harmston Families
Sadly there was a lack of response to last month’s plea so I’m putting this in again in case you missed it - We really need your input on family events at the Hall. We would like to provide a broad range of events to cater for all groups in the village but we can’t do it without a little guidance from you guys! Please drop us an email at and tell us what you’d really like to see happening at HMH. To kick things off we’re planning a ‘school’s out’ disco and BBQ on Friday 22ndJuly when schools break up for summer – is this something you would like? Let us know your thoughts and any other ideas you may have….
