REQUIREMENTS:

  1. The Clyde Lions Club is offering two scholarships in the amount of $1000.00 each, to be awarded to a graduating senior of Clyde High School.
  2. Each applicant must rank in the top one-half of his/her graduating class to be eligible for this scholarship.
  3. The recipient will be selected on the basis of academics, character, and community service activities performed.
  4. The scholarship must be used in the first long term after it is awarded. One-half of the amount will be awarded the first semester, and the remainder at the beginning of the second semester, provided the recipient’s grade record was satisfactory the first semester.
  5. The recipient must claim the scholarship by having the registrar or financial aid officer of the university in which the student is enrolled to verify the enrollment in writing to:

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

  1. Each applicant must submit the following items to the Scholarship Committee of the Clyde Lions Club:
  2. Completed application form
  3. Official transcript of high school record.
  4. Two letters of recommendation, one from a member of the Clyde CISD staff and one from someone in the community who knows the applicant well and who is not related to the applicant.
  5. The application forms, transcript, and two letters of recommendation are to be assembled and submitted in one envelope to the applicant’s senior counselor, who will forward it to the Scholarship Committee of the Clyde Lions Club.
  6. Each applicant shall appear in person before the committee, if the committee sorequests.
