1. Circus

·  Want to public issue this sem

·  Have 1.5k in the budget, but had requested 3k, so want remaining 1.5k

·  Want to have 20 copies by launch party this fri, want to have 600 copies

·  Will be printed over interterm

·  Is this sem publication, but don’t have time to print all by this sem (paying before)

·  Will be requesting money as soon as they get the quote (today or tmrrw)

·  Manny & aditi – have limited budget at this time of the sem, so if possible for anything to be pushed off until next sem,

·  Aditi – wont be able to print w/o this money

·  Jacob – was halved and was ‘promised’ and has precedent

·  Motion to fund – 8,0,0

2. ASK

·  Advertising money to advertise for conference in early feb

·  Need to know how many people would go and how many rooms to get

o  Paul Gallegos will fund for this but want to get funds from BC to help

·  Hotels are almost gone, so just need to know how many want to go

·  Motion to fund – 8,0,0

3. Poker Club

·  Discussion food and decorations for end of the semester event

·  Aditi – zeroed decorations for last event and havent used discussion food yet since it was zeroed

·  George – what are the decorations for?

o  Poker decorations from Amazon

·  Have an in club tournament that’s 8hrs long over 2 days (dec 12 and 13)

·  Tess – advertisement?

o  Have advertised 3x in val

o  Aditi – any increase in membership?

§  Have gotten interest from at least 80 at the beginning of the sem

·  Motion to fund food and not decorations – 8,0,0

4. Valerie Salcido

·  Manny – what is this event?

o  A group of students for a soc course working on project about val staff, social justice, etc

o  Want to have a val appreciation event

·  Pierre – not allowed to fund events after Dec 15

·  Jacob – also shouldn’t fund events for courses

o  Manny – generally expect academic depts. to fund this

·  CCE doesn’t have a budget so have not given any money

·  Have 300 from student life, also have 100 from amstud dept

o  Will be enough for food, but not for materials and decorations

·  Materials are for banner and tabling for people to sign banner

o  Also want to have life stories on posters of different staff for the event

·  Manny – don’t fund gift?

o  Ramy – sort of a giveaway?

o  George – community engagement fund?

§  Havent set a fund yet so they said they don’t want to give priorities to certain individuals
