LOGs – may include soccer, belly baseball, longball, moonball, madhouse soccer, juggling, floorhockey, deuce, endball, speed stacking
COURSE EVALUATION
Outcomes are now assessed on an individual basis, using a 4 point rubric. There will be 1 mark per outcome. There is not a ‘single’ final mark for the class.
1 APPROACHING – I am starting to understand some of this but I need help.
2 BEGINNING – I have a very basic understanding but I still make some mistakes
3 PROFICIENT – I fully understand this concept and can demonstrate/explain it
4 MASTERY – I fully understand this concept and can further apply/relate it to the world around me
EXPECTATIONS
· Your cell phones need to stay in your lockers during PE class. They are not allowed in the change room.
· Regular attendance and participation in all activities to the best of your ability
· Appropriate clothing for all activities
· Provide a written note prior to class in case of injury or illness that PREVENTS you from ACTIVELY PARTICIPATING, otherwise you are expected to participate
· Provide a DOCTOR’S NOTE in the case of 3 or more consecutive missed classes
· ACT APPROPRIATE AT ALL TIMES (especially no swearing, put downs or rough play)
· Be aware that a missed class may require you to be assessed on an outcome outside of class time
· Practice proper hygiene during class, including wearing clean gym clothes and showering/washing up after class
· Accept all consequences for lates, skips and misbehavior
· All summative assignments that MUST be completed to earn completion of this course are listed on the ‘pink sheet’

OVERVIEW
Activities - participation, effort, attire, behavior, leadership, respect and hygiene
Fitness Activities - 3 times during the course
Quizzes - volleyball, basketball, badminton, curling, track & field
- rewrites until your quiz marks is a 3 or greater
Skills - football, volleyball, basketball, badminton
Ski Trip - lesson and day of skiing or snowboarding at Table Mountain
- COMPULSORY ACTIVITY
Track & Field Day - you will compete in 6 events of your choice at the T&F meet. If you place 1st or 2nd in your age category, you will have the option of competing in North Battleford at the District meet.
