Objective Analysis –Plate Tectonics test
If you did not pass the test, or didn’t do as well as you would have liked to, you may retake the portion of the test that tests the objectives you did poorly on. This form is meant to help you figure out which objectives you have not yet demonstrated a minimum level of understanding on, so you know which to study & which to retake. You must turn in this form and the original test when you take the retake. You may take the original copy of the test to help you study, but keep track of it! If the original test is not returned to me, you will get a zero on it, rather than the grade you earned.
Instructions:
1. For the multiple choice & matching questions (1-28), go through and circle all the question numbers that you missed on the test in the
column that says “Question #’s” below.
2. For the rest of the questions, write in the points you earned out of the total possible in the blank provided next to the question number.
3. For each objective that you missed more than the minimum number of points/questions required to demonstrate a basic understanding, you
need to show what work you did before the test to learn this material. To do this:
a) circle all assignment that were related to that section that you received FULL CREDIT on in the homework column.
b) circle the notes that you took on this concept IF THEY ARE COMPLETE in the notes column.
4. Make a plan, which of the following are you going to do before the test retake to improve your understanding of the concepts?
a) completing work for that objective that was not done before the test (these must be shown to Mrs. Haveman on retake day)
b) completing notes (and studying them) that were not done before the test (these must be shown to Mrs. Haveman on retake day)
c) getting extra help from Mrs. Haveman at DAWGS on Tuesday (12/16), or on another day that she has agreed to meet with you (specify
when this is).
5. Once you have completed this form and know what you need to do to do better on the test retake, sign up to come in and take the re-take
with Mrs. Haveman. It must be completed by Tuesday (1/6) or your test grade remains the same.
