Title: Insurance Sales Agent
Location: Milford/Hartford/New London
Summary:
We are looking for entrepreneurial individuals to represent Bankers Life and Casualty Company to our customers as an Insurance Sales Agent. In this position, you will have the opportunity to sell Bankers’ wide range of insurance products including:
• Health Insurance
• Long Term Care/Home Health Care
• Life Insurance
• Annuities
Functions:
• Utilize Bankers’ leads program and develop a base for long-term sources of customers by using referrals, occupational, and special-interest groups to compile lists of prospects
• Approach potential customers by making sales calls by phone, field sales visits with a trainer/manager and partner with affinity groups to sell other insurance products
• Determine customers' particular needs by scheduling fact-finding appointments and ascertaining long-term goals
• Develop a coordinated insurance protection plan by calculating and quoting rates for coverage
• Follow necessary steps for underwriting approval
• Provide excellent customer service by delivering policies; planning future follow-up visits and ongoing evaluation of needs
• Update industry knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; maintaining state life and health licensing; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
Qualifications:
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Sales, marketing, customer service or management experience (helpful but not required)
• Ability to pass a drug screening and criminal background check
• A life and health insurance license and appointment by Bankers Life and Casualty Company achieved prior to start date
