IPAD Rules and Expectations

In order to ensure IPAD success this school year, the following items were discussed with your child today. This is to ensure that you also are aware of our expectations regarding the privilege of the use of district owned IPADs.

Items discussed with your child:

· No more than 15 personal pictures in their photo gallery (this will not include pictures required for school projects).

· Their 4 digit pass code cannot be changed without teacher approval.

· Only apps on the Wren High School app store can be downloaded. (If there is a chat feature on an app, you will be asked to remove the app.)

· IPADs must be surrendered to teachers or administration upon request.

· IPADs must be brought to school daily, and should be fully charged.

· Students must follow class directions regarding putting IPADs away and being on correct/appropriate apps.

· Monthly checks will be made on each IPAD to ensure that they are compliant.

Consequences discussed with your child:

· Warning

· One week-surrender* IPAD to teacher

· Three week-surrender* IPAD to teacher

· One semester-surrender* IPAD to teacher

*Surrender means that the student will only be allowed to use the IPAD during class time and for directed classroom purposes. Additionally, it will not go to lunch or home during that time.

**Teachers reserve the right to suspend use of the IPAD immediately for serious offenses at administrative discretion.

Please mark here if you want your student to be required to leave their IPAD at school at all times.
