GAGE Saturday Exploration Program
Teacher Application
Gwinnett Alliance for Gifted Education’s Saturday Exploration Program (SEP) provides a wide variety of challenging and enriching classes on Saturday mornings using 21st century learning strategies for gifted and high achieving students. Each unit of study combines creativity, leadership, inquiry, critical thinking, and technology. Each lesson is designed to encourage students to discover, explore, and grow.
Elementary and middle school students are invited to participate in 4 consecutive Saturday morning activities that promote project-based learning. We need highly qualified teachers to develop and teach curriculum units according to gifted standards and theme. If interested, you will be given an Instructional Framework that explains methods used to implement the course goals and objectives.
Instructors must complete the planning and research for course preparation outside of class time and are required to participate in a 2 hour orientation on Saturday, October 8 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Here is your opportunity to teach an academically challenging hands-on projectcourse in a small classroom setting (maximum number of students is 15 in a class). Interested? Complete the application on the second page and email it to Dr. Dawn White, Director of SEP at .
