Call for Proposals 2016
The International Association of Animal Hospice and Palliative Care (IAAHPC) is calling for lecture proposals in consideration for presentation at their 6th Annual Conference. Last year's conference, held in San Diego, California provided outstanding education to over 200 attendees. To continue in that path, we are seeking the best of the best for 2016. The conference is set for October 20-24, 2016 just outside Washington, D.C.
If you, or someone you know, may be interested in presenting a lecture at the 2016 conference, please submit the following information:
1. Presentation title
2. Full name, address, contact number, and email
3. Curriculum vitae (CV) or resume
4. A short bio (10-15 sentences) for the printed program if chosen to speak
5. A brief abstract of your proposed lecture (5-10 sentences) for the printed
program if chosen to speak
6. Proposed length of presentation
All presentations will be 1-2 hours in length depending on the topic. Please clarify your proposed length and any special requests you may have, such as technical equipment beyond a screen and microphone. NOTE: All presenters are asked to organize 30-minutes worth of lecture material to leave ample time for questions per 1-hour lecture. All medical information must be applicable to animal hospice. Those chosen to present will be notified the first part of February. The gifted honorarium is set at $250 per lecture hour. There is no reimbursement for travel. Each presenter will be provided free conference registration, not including pre-conference tracks or laboratories.
Please note – All chosen 2016 presenters will be required before the conference date to submit lecture proceedings. This will consist of a 3-10 page Word document including all key points of the presentation along with any illustrations or diagrams needed to support the material. Heavy outline format is allowed. Additionally, aPowerPoint presentation or Prezi presentation will be required for viewing before conference to monitor for quality and cohesiveness with the IAAHPC mission. Both proceedings and presentations will be due August 1, 2016. If this deadline for submission is not met, the honorarium will be not awarded.Our conferences are recorded for later purchase and potential use of the recording for our certification program. All presenters must sign a Recording Agreement upon acceptance to present at the 2016 conference.
Included here is a list of suggested topics from our members for the 2016 conference. Those submitting proposals related to these concepts will be considered first.

These are broad topics meant to be fine-tuned into more specific titles and
material. This list is a generalization into the type of material that will be
discussed at the 2016 conference. The IAAHPC welcomes any topic you wish
to present and will consider all proposals.
