BUDGET

Please itemize your budget and provide descriptions (do not identify any item as miscellaneous). You can apply for up to $1,000 (with the understanding that the more funds requested, the greater the competition).We recommend at least 50% of the requested amount be [AN1]used to pay the artist an hourly rate for their time and expertise. Depending on the artists’ needs, we recommend a scale of $25/hour for artists new to teaching students and $50/hour for artists who’ve worked extensively with teachers and students. Expectations of Grant Recipients

  • Teachers and artists must have an existing or create a new profile in order to participate in this grants program
  • Recipients of the grant must use the CommunityShare website to message and schedule their shares (this helps us test our online platform).
  • Recipients will allow CommunityShare’s assessment & documentation teams to observe and document (photograph/video) community partner shares. Documentation may be shared on the CommunityShare website and in other venues to celebrate the importance of your work!
  • Teachers will assist CommunityShare in identifying students with and without media releases.
  • After the grant-funded project is completed, grant recipients will be expected to:

Fill out a brief form that outlines the curriculum, standardsand lessons learned from your project

Provide At least 5 photos of their share(s) Students in the photos need to have photo releases on file with the school.

Complete a survey to capture feedback from the teacher, students and artist about the project experience and impact

  • Recipients will be encouragedto recruit 5 teachers and/or community partners to join CommunityShare (this will help our CommunityShare family grow for the benefit of all teachers and students!)[j3]
