IDENTIFICATION.

  • Some children come to us with known needs identified by outside agencies
  • Sometimes parents raise concerns about their child’s development
  • Some children have special needs identified when we observe how they settle and adapt to school life
  • Some children develop special needs during their time at school
  • Each child’s academic achievement is monitored at least half termly and those needing extra support

  • We are a small school which helps when children transfer to us
  • Visits are encouraged and new families are always welcome and shown around our school
  • We hold information meetings for new parents
  • Personal transition programmes are provided for children who need them when changing year group
  • We liaise with All Saints Catholic College staff during Years 5 and 6 and children visit the school regularly
  • We encourage visits from secondary school staff once places have been allocated
