INFORMATION ONTHE GROUPS AT
CAMBRIDGE ROAD CHILDREN’S CENTRE
Come and get some advice and support from health visitors and nursery nurses.
Check the weight of your baby and discuss any family planning/sexual health matters. Play activities are available to occupy your baby.
TODDLER TUESDAY - COME AND PLAY
A session for you to enjoy with your child. Our friendly crèche staff will be available during the session.
CREATIVE FUN - COME AND PLAY
A fun play session for 0-5 years. This session will include messy play and a range of activities for you and your child to enjoy together. Our friendly crèche staff will be available during the session. / MOTO (MOTHERS ON THEIR OWN)
Come and meet other parents who share similar experiences to you.
A free lunch is also provided for you and your child. Your child can be cared for by our qualified centre staff in the crèche so you can discuss a range of topics knowing your child is being well cared for.

A stay and play session supporting parents whilst providing a multisensory play session for children with additional needs.
FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICE
We offer a family support service where a family support worker will work with you and your family, in the home environment, to offer support where needed. Please contact the centre for details.
THE FREEDOM PROGRAMME
The aims of the programme are to think about the effects on children, to help you restore your confidence and to identify ‘patterns’ of abusive relationships. The course runs for 12 weeks during term time and a free crèche is available.
ELKLAN – Let’s Talk with your Baby
Let’s Talk with your baby is a fun practical 8 week course for parents/carers and babies aged 5-7 mos delivered by a speech and language specialist.
Eklan – Let’s Talk Under 5’s
A short course for parents/carers including information about speech and Language development. A free crèche is provided. / TEEN BUMPS AND TEEN BUMPS PLUS ANTE NATAL AND POSTNATAL GROUPS
Bumps and Bumps+ offers antenatal and parenting support specific to the needs of teenagers and has been designed in consultation with young service users.
Delivered by a dedicated team including a specialist midwife, teenage pregnancy personal advisor and a family support worker. These groups are aimed at reducing social isolation, building self esteem, encouraging positive relationships and supporting young parents to continue their education.
R ‘n’ R Crèche
This crèche facility is accessed via a ‘referral’ and is offered to parents and carers who need a break from parenting, or wish to enrol at college for further education or to attend job interviews. Please contact us for more details.
