WEST OXFORDSHIRE RIDING CLUB - CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

  • The judge’s decision is FINAL. It is the competitor’s responsibility to arrive on time for their classes and entry may be refused if judging has started.
  • Correct riding attire including hard hats and boots with suitable heels must be worn by all riders. Hats must conform to current BSI standards and must be correctly fastened.
  • Horses and ponies less than 4 years old may only be shown in hand.
  • The judges reserve the right to disqualify any competitor whom they consider to be under horsed or unethical in any way.
  • No unnecessary galloping around the showground or trailer parking.
  • In any dispute as to the height of a horse/pony a Height Certificate will be required. Similarly in a dispute to a rider’s age a Birth Certificate will be required. The age of any competitor is of the day of the show.
  • All classes may be limited at the discretion of the organiser.
  • Entry fees cannot be refunded except on a production of a medical or veterinary certificate.
  • The organisers are not responsible for any negligence, loss or damage to persons, animals or property no matter how caused. It shall be deemed a condition of entry that each entrant shall agree to indemnify the organisers against any legal action arising from such an incident.
  • All entrants must have third party insurance.

Warning Lower Haddon Livery is situated next to Brize Norton RAF Base so there may be low flying aircrafts during the day.

Please take the time to thank all show organisers and volunteers who help to run the show. They are all there in goodwill in their own free time.

Please remove all rubbish from the show ground or use the litter bins provided

Class 2: Best Condition – may be split according to entries

Class 3: Mountain & Moorland (Small Breed/Large breeds)

Class 4: Part Bred / Foreign Breeds

Class 5: Coloured or Odd Coloured

Class 6: Veteran (16 years and over)

Class 7: Hunter/Cob /Riding Horse

In Hand Championship

All 1st & 2nd places from Classes 1 - 7 to compete for In Hand Champion and Reserve

Ridden Classes – Will not commence before 12:30pm

Please note the Judge will not ride the horses in any of the classes

Class 8: Riding Club/Pony Club Horse or Pony

Any height, most suitable for all Riding Club activities, may be required to jump.
