A grassroots Internet-based protest is rapidly escalating against CBS’s cancellation of Jericho. Irate, creative viewers from all around the world have mobilized to send tens of thousands of peanuts to CBS executives, telling them, “CBS is NUTS!”
UPS and the NutsOnline company van will deliver yesterday’s orders of 4000 pounds of peanuts on massive pallets Thursday morning. The CBS mailroom is expected to accept the nuts, and turn them over for donations to local food banks and troops based in Afghanistan and Iraq, CBS spokespersons say.
