Missionof the study program"Industrial economical engineering"belonging to the domain of"Engineering and management"present a particularly complexby includingteaching and researchactivitiesat the level ofdepartmentand disciplines, providingtechnical and managerialtraining programsintextile andleather industry, pursuing preparingprofessionals fortechnicaland economicmanagement activities, ofdesignandmanufacturing systems oftextile andleatherrelated products, market research, initiatingand conductingrelatedbusinessfield anditsrelated services. Itaims to achievea wideopeningsto theEuropean systemof values,both in terms ofspecialized trainingas well asinthe education.
This missionconstitutes the reasonof beingof ahigher technicalschool, gaining particular importancetoday.It requiresthat everyone involvedin the trainingof engineersto grant aspecial attention to theefficiencyof economic activity. Technicaltrainingaspectsshould not beseparated fromeconomic reality anditsrequiredperformance. The present projection interms of the futurecan bemade onlyin the context ofthe acquisitionof wideeconomicknowledgeengineeringframeworks.
- The objectives of thestudy program "Industrial economical engineering"
The strategic objectiveof the study program"Industrial economical engineering"is toperformmodern and efficient teaching andresearch activitiesat internationalstandards ofexcellence, to contribute to shapingagraduateprofilethataims to developtheknowledge, skills andcognitive abilitiesinEngineering and management, whichalsoallowto integrateat the level ofmanagementstructuresthat requirecollaborationwith expertsfrom varioussectors of the economy, particularly those inindustrial engineeringand information technologysectors.
The graduateof the study program"Industrial economical engineering" will haveadequateknowledge offundamental,technicaland economicandregulatory issuesaimedfromsphere ofengineeringmanagement, knowledge thatwillhelp them understandand to interpreteconomic efficiency andtechnical efficiency, offering optimal solutionsregardingthe impact oftechnologicaland managerialprocesseson the environment,economy and society.
Specific objectiveswithin thestudy program„Industrial economical engineering” refer to the knowledgeacquired bygraduatesconcerning:

- Preparinggeneral technique(industrial design, mechanical engineeringfundamentals, electrical)

- Computer aided design(CAD) ingarments, knitwear, footwear and leather goods
- Fundamentaltrainingintextile andleather industry (fiber and textilestructures, the structure and design ofknitted fabrics, apparel textiles, shoes and leather goods, raw materials, metrology intextile-leather)
- Technical processesintextile- leather(leather manufacturingprocesses, technologies and knittingmachines, technologies and equipmentinclothing, textilefinishing)
- Generallegislation(law and economiclaw, labor law, competition law)
