Would all parents/guardians please ensure that their children attending a Go-Ride eventhave:
- a quality, well-fittingcycle helmet (children will not be permitted to participate otherwise);

- appropriateclothing, suitable to cycling and to the weather conditions (e.g. gloves, hats, waterproofs or, just possibly, sunscreen when required!);

Parents are able to leave their children with the coaches and club officers (but must collect them promptly at the end of sessions and be contactable at all times), however, we encourage you to stay and participate, as volunteers are required to steward some coaching events and to enable us to extend the event to racing activities.
We are creating a Go-Ride Steering Group of parents/guardians for Go-Ride participants to guide the training programmes to ensure they are best meeting the needs of participants and to manage the organisation of the events. It is envisaged that the steering group will meet informally during the training session and then discuss a forthcoming programme with the coaches immediately after the event. It is also hoped that with enough interest and parental support for stewarding that we can extend the programme at later events to include Go-Ride Racing events on tarmac, grass or off-road circuits.
This is an open invitation event so please feel free to circulate widely to anyone who may be interested.
