Work Student Administrative Procedures: CSU receives $300,000 a year from the Federal Work Study program to provide salaries for student workers on both campuses. Campus hiring procedures have changed for this year. A Priority List has been established by Tina Butcher, Tom Helton, Russ Romandini and our HR office for “High Need” areas. These areas will get the first opportunity for work study students. Additions to the Priority List requests will be considered by the Provost and the Vice President for Business and Finance. Current Priority List consists of College of the Arts, Library, Rec Center, Athletics and Parking SVC.

Other areas on campus that need a Work Study Student, and are not on the Priority List, should submit a request through HR office as normal. Students are free to consider these requests after all the requests have been submitted from the Priority List.

Tina Butcher: Dean Reports: Dean Rome is scheduled to present to ELT on September 19, and Dean Greer is scheduled for October 10. Deans will present annually to the ELT. ELT will discuss the possibility of other programs on campus making annual presentations too.

John Lester: Dr. Markwood, Danna Gibson, David Mitchell and John met with David Hart, General Manager of WRBL, yesterday for lunch. WRBL is interested in working with the university to put on a series of electiondebates next year on campus. Also would like to give CSU a web cam to be placed on one of our buildings at the RiverPark campus. WRBL would have access feed. They also discussed establishing a WRBL office in the Carpenters building.

CSU will amend contract for this event to include the lobby area of the Columbus Trade Center to prevent any registered protests inside the building. Reception Monday evening begins at 5:30 p.m. upstairs. Tickets for ELT will be delivered today and tomorrow. The whole event will be streamed liveto University Hall.
