Primary Education Centre
Renuka has completed her II PUC from Maruiti Government College, and has taken a one-year Computer course at the Shivaram Computer Center in Devangere. She was also the President of the Kannika Parameshwari Swasaya Sanga for three years. She wanted to work as a teacher in the village to improve education, but had initial concerns over the scope of work at the centre. However, she now relishes the responsibility of helping village children learn better English and improve their lives and looks forward to being a good teacher to them.
Suma

Suma followed her PUC at Seethamma College and NTC training at Durgambika Nursery Teachers Centre with two years of teaching. She believes strongly in the value of education in children’s lives and worries about the inadequate education that most of them get. She joined the center to help impart quality education to village children and hopes that it will improve the quality of their lives and increase happiness.
Shwetha

Shwetha believes that communities should help themselves and not depend on others to help their children. Her philosophy on education is to hone, refine and add to the innate knowledge that all children are born with. She believes the centres will put the village children’s education on par with those in the cities and will help the village children improve their future prospects. Shwetha has completed her 1st PUC at the Maruti Government College in Lokikere.
Kamala

Kamala grew up in Srinarasimhapura,Mysore District. Following a BA at Gandothri College in Mysore, Kamala worked as a teacher at the Shanti Nikethan Public School in Chandapura. She enjoyed her education and believes strongly in the value of educating children, to help them achieve bright futures. She is excited to be working at the centre to bring a high quality education to the local children and happy that the parents already have a good opinion about the Centre. Kamala is married and has a daughter who is 6 years old.
Ashwini K.R.
Kodipura: Mandya District

Ashwini has graduated from ITI Government College in Mallavalli and worked at Rajeev Gandhi Engineering College as a lab instructor. She enjoys spending time with children and feels strongly about the role of education in improving children's futures. She hopes that working at the centre will bring education to children who would not have had access to it otherwise and is excited about promoting the Centre in the village.
Dhanalaxmi

Dhanalaxmi believes that the Centre has already improved village life by providing good education to children there. The improvement has generated more support for the center within the villages and she looks forward to her continued work with the centers - both in bringing more education to the children as well as increasing goodwill towards to the center.She is pleased with the training she has received from Hippocampus to make her a good teacher. Dhanalaxmi is married and has twin boys who are three years old.
