Dr. Carpenter entered into the medical field in 1973, received an A.A.S in Respiratory Therapy and has spent most of those first 23 years working in hospitals with chronically and acutely ill patients. She has worked in all areas of care - Critical, Coronary, Neonatal ICU, Pediatric, Emergency and Pulmonary and Cardiac Rehabilitation. Dr. Carpenter wanted to be a doctor, but not so much a medical as a natural heath care doctor. She has great respect for the medical field, but realized early on that prevention and treatment via natural remedies and therapies could have great results. She entered Chiropractic college in 1989, finished her degree in Nutrition at night and attended Acupuncture classes on weekends. She graduated in 1992 and has her own private practice utilizing Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Physiotherapies, Nutritional Counseling/Support and Detoxification programs to treat all ages.

CHIROPRACTIC PHILOSOPHY: The body, if given the right foods and environment, has the capability (in most cases) of healing itself. My job as a Doctor of Chiropractic is to analyze the body, find out what its needs are and to treat accordingly by treating the person as a whole and not just the symptoms. I believe that a person must have spiritual, emotional and physical health in order to function as a fully alive human being. These three parts work together and must not be separated. One of my favorite quotes from Thomas Edison is: “The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease.” This is the way I like to doctor.
