Kirkcaldy and District Quiz League
Minutes of meeting: Sunday 21st May 2017 at 1.00. p.m at the Feuar’s Arms.
Teams represented: Betty Nicol’s “Z”, Brodie’s , Feuar’s, Harbour Bar, Man “I” The Rock “A”, Man “I” The Rock “B” and St. Clair Tavern.
Team Absent: Craigie Bar.
Craigie Bar’s absence was pre-arranged as they were all at Celtic Park.
Six teams paid £40 to Mungis to cover four monthly £10 fees due. The exceptions were Man “I” The Rock “B” and Craigie Bar. It was arranged for John Cunningham of Rock “B” to pay me £40 at the Summer Cup at Styx on May 29th. I will contact John Geddes to see about Craigie Bar’s contribution.(Craigie Bar and St. Clair paid at Styx Summer Cup).
The draw was made for the Neville Henderson and James McArthur trophies. The top four teams in the league will compete in the Nev trophy and the bottom four will contest the James McArthur trophy. Both will be played simultaneously over a three week period, each team playing the other once on a league basis. In the event of two teams tying on points the head to head between them will decide the winner. If this was a draw the team with the better scratch score will win. The draw is as follows.

James McArthur Trophy:
5th June: Harbour Bar v St. Clair Tavern, Man “I” The Rock “B” v Craigie Bar
12th June: St. Clair Tavern v Man “I” The Rock “B” Craigie Bar v Harbour Bar
19th June: Man “I” The Rock “B” v Harbour Bar, Craigie Tavern v St. Clair Tavern.
Jimmy Fitzsimons from Rock A raised the point that Monday’s final between Skittle and Rock A should be played at Rock A as they had the better scratch score. I informed Jimmy that we had agreed at the previous meeting that the winners of Group A would host the final.
Instead of having another meeting in mid June it was decided the draw for the Alec Mitchell trophy should be raised at this meeting. This trophy will be on a straight knockout basis. The draw was made as follows:

Jimmy from Rock A asked if Mungis could provide an up to date Financial Statement so he could review the overall financial situation.
I will arrange to see Trevor from the Skittle to arrange a date for the Telford Trophy. The general consensus was to try for Friday July 14th. This would mean a break of several weeks before the next season starts.
