Statement of Purpose
As an experienced and successful varsity basketball coach and physical education professional, I bring passion, experience, a strong work ethic, and a winning attitude to my teaching and my coaching. I am seeking new opportunities to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential as team members, team leaders and valued members of the school community.

Responsible for the development, conditioning, scheduling and coaching of the Freshman, Sophomore, JV and Varsity basketball teams. Rebuilt the program from the bottom up. Developed a winning record and attitude among team members; fostered school pride in achieving a successful basketball program. Our teams were semi-finalists the last two years, advancing further than any prior Venice team.
Ladies’ Varsity Basketball Head Coach/P.E.TeacherVenice High School (LAUSD) 2001-2005
Responsible for rebuilding the ladies’ basketball program, including freshman, sophomore, junior varsity and varsity teams. Instituteda mandatory year-round program involving conditioning, leagues and tournaments, to build skills, confidence, teamwork and leadership. Led Venice to their first league championship in 2004/05.

Supervised the coaches and proctored the daily schedule for the UC Berkeley men’s basketball camp.
P.E. Teacher/Coach - Pacoima Middle School (LAUSD)1999-2001
Developed and implemented a physical education curriculum for sixth, seventh and eighthgrade students(60)students per period, five periods a day. Coached boys’ basketball guiding them to their first championship.

Developed the concept, budget, programming and marketing for a new camp. Responsible for hiring, scheduling, administration and daily supervision.Established programmatic and financial records for the camp and the school.

Developed and directed athletic program, supervising all sports clinics. Responsibilities included locating and renting facilities, hiring and supervising staff, promoting the camp, and managing relationships with parents.
