1. Apologies

Apologies for absence were received from John Archer and Richard West.

2. Minutes from the Previous Meeting

Minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and signed off by the chairman.

3. Matters Arising

The Gamlingay Turbine is to be built in the spring.

The proposed Wind Farm at Littlington is still under consultation.

Paul Sexton informed the meeting the Log Book, for the period covered by the previous meeting,had been checked and was correct.

The complaint regarding a low flying aircraft performing aerobatics on Good Friday was discussed. It was uncertain who was responsible and no official complaint form had been received.

Aerodrome Management - J. Jefferies informed the Committee that the airfield had had a quiet summer due to weather conditions and the runwayhad onlybeen closed once for waterlogging.

The Charity Day went well. Takings were over £40,000 and after deducting expenses the organisers hope to donate £24,652.90 to child related charities.

The next Charity Day will be held on Sunday 25th August 2013.

South Cambridgeshire District Council

P. Sexton informed the Committee he had checked the airfield Log Book. One entry was queried where a Mr Bethal listed the number of take-offs as ‘LOTS’.

Parish Councils

K. Merrill, Little Gransden PC, reportedthat residents were unhappy when an outdoor performance by the village drama group was disrupted by an aeroplane performing aerobatics.

Cambridge Gliding Club

P Ruskin told the meeting they had no current issues.

The rerouting of aircraft due to the Olympic no fly zone did not cause problems because so few were flying due to the bad weather.

The proposedAnemometer at Arrington had been refused planning permission but the proposers may appeal.

No information was received. It was decided to remove this item from the agenda.
