Conference Overview
Description:
Obesity prevention is a public health concern. Managing overweight and obesity is critical to the prevention of disease and promotion of good health. After attending this conference, participants will be able to:
1)Understand the nutrient and food intake pattern of school aged childrenand the current school meal nutrition guidelines.
2)Put into perspective “what we know” and “don’t know” about eating patterns associated with childhood obesity.
3)Understand the metabolism and role of vitamin D in human health.
4)Learn 3 ways how eating breakfast can improve cognition.
Target Audience:Registered Dietitians, school nutrition professionals, health and human service professionals, and advocates from the fields of public health, fitness, nutrition, health, education, and related disciplines are welcome to attend the conference.
Registration Fee: The non-refundable conference registration fee is $25.00.
