COURSE PREPARATION
This is a course where knowledge and skill are tested, therefore, advance preparation is strongly recommended. Course participants will receive PALS materials where advanced preparation requires students to complete a precourse assessment (no precourse assessment results, no PALS card) prior to the course. All participants must show evidence of current certification in Basic Life Support.
LOCATION
The course will be held in the Simulation Center in the Clara Ford Pavilion Basement at Henry Ford Hospital- Main Campus, 2799 W. Grand Blvd., Detroit, MI 48202.

COURSE OVERVIEW
The focus of the Pediatric Advanced Life Support course is to discuss the various aspects of ALS for infants and children. The ultimate goal of PALS is to improve the care of the pediatric patient in the emergency care setting, and to increase the skill and confidence of healthcare professionals who care for children.
The curriculum includes lectures, skill stations, and interactive sessions that integrate knowledge and skills into a clinically useful discipline.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The course is designed for Physicians, Physician Extenders, Nurses and Paramedics who are interested in improving skills in the emergency care of infants and children.
Cancellation
Class may be cancelled at discretion of the director if less than 15 participants. Fees would be returned.
