POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Consultant, Patient Navigation Toolkit
Salary Range: Commensurate With Experience

Report To: Associate Director, Global Program
Job Summary
NASTAD seeks a consultant to work with the Global Program’s Haiti team to assist in development of a Care Navigation Toolkit in order to facilitate patient care linkage and retention for gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (MSM) living with HIV in Haiti, thereby improving the ability of the Haitian Ministry of Health to improve health outcomes for this vulnerable population.
Working with NASTAD domestic and Haiti-based staff, the consultant will: 1) compile information about the general characteristics of the MSM population in Haiti, the types of stigma they experience, and their specific heath needs; (2) create stigma-reduction tools and policies to be adopted at the facility level; (3) draft data collection and patient linkage tools for use in providing HIV-related care; and (4) develop training and educational materials for facilities and community health workers.
Selection Criteria
Experience and education criteria include the following:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and at least five years of public health experience;
· Experience working in international, resource constrained settings with public health entities and/or health systems;
· Work experience and cultural competency relating to MSM;
· Understanding of HIV epidemiology, treatment and prevention strategies;
· Excellent written and oral communication skills;
· Ability to read French desirable but not required.
Job Location and Travel
The consultant will work remotely from their own workspace, with frequent contact with NASTD staff via telephone and/or internet conferencing. One three-day planning meeting will be held at NASTAD’s Washington DC office, with travel, lodging and expenses by NASTAD.
