Documentary for Project “International Labour and Environmental Standards (ILES) Application in Pakistan’s SMEs”
Requirements
- The complete duration of agreement period between the documentary filmmaker and the ILES is of around 2 years (may vary according to project activities).
- The duration of the documentary should be around 20 minutes along with a short version of around 5 minutes.
- The documentary must be shot in cinematic quality 4k video format.
- The filmmaker must have prior experience of working with an international NGO, development sector or donor agencies, on a documentary film project.
- The documentary filmmaker must have a sample of previous work which could be shared with project team.
- The filmmaker must understand the gravity of the project and take consultation from the project team to make the documentary impactful, if needed, to guide the documentary project.
- The overall documentary project filming timeline must be a shoot coinciding with major project activities.
- The filmmaker must provide a proposed plan of action with regards to shooting the documentary with their proposal. The proposal should also include a financial proposal and a timeline of work.
- The filmmaker will be required to travel to or within Lahore, Karachi, Sialkot, and Faisalabad for shooting.
- The financial proposal should include but not limited to all the logistics, boarding, lodging, and any other expense that filmmaker may incur as per conceived work plan.
- The filmmaker must include appropriate music and sound-effects in the documentary and clear any copyright for both before finalizing the documentary.
- The filmmaker will be responsible for all pre-production, production and post-production work, which include, but are not limited to, research, story-boarding, scripting, shooting, editing and finalizing the film in partnership with the project team.
- The filmmaker will be responsible for following the branding guidelines of project implementation partners of the associated organizations.
- The filmmaker must adhere to hard-set deadlines for delivering the completed documentary project as it needs to presented at time bound events nationally and internationally
- The filmmaker must show availability for all the events and activities of the project.
Terms of Responsibilities
- The consultant/filmmaker will develop a project documentary of project International Labour and Environmental Standards (ILES) Application in Pakistan’s SMEs.
- Consultant/filmmaker will develop the documentary film’s overall concept and scenario.
- Consultant/filmmaker in consultation with the project team will develop a story line and schedule according to the tentative events, meetings and other activities of the project.
- Consultant/filmmaker will interview selected interviewees for the film who will include actual beneficiaries, government officials, Implementing Partners and other stakeholders in consultation with project team.
- Consultant/filmmaker will develop the documentary script and storyboard to be used in the film.
- Consultant/filmmaker will travel to or within Lahore, Karachi, Sialkot and Faisalabad, 4 project sites for shoot.
- Consultant/filmmaker will perform appropriate video filming and shoot to cover all events or activities in consultation with project team.
- Consultant/filmmaker will provide a draft documentary to the project team for comments about contents.
- Produce final documentary(around 20 minutes) long in DVD as well as a summary promotional DVD version of around 5 minutes long
- Consultant/filmmaker will perform other activities as per the requirements of the project team.
