Agenda Item / Action(s)
Taken
1.  Celebrations / 4th grade field trip went well, the students got a lot of hands on learning.
New custodian was hired and is doing well.
2.  Muddy Sneakers / 5th Grade Science program that focuses on bringing the outside into the classroom. Students would participate in 6 – 10 expeditions for learning. Onsite expeditions would be $5 each and offsite would be $10 each plus transportation.
SIT decided to not take on this for next year but maybe in the future.
3.  Parent Survey Results / Reviewed the data that we had but will review again.
4.  Field Day / Field Day will be June 5th with the rain day on June 6th.
5.  PTO Christmas Store / PTO was interested in running the Christmas store using the Penguin Patch Holiday Store. These items would cost and only students who brought in money would be able to participate. SIT decided that we will stay with the PBIS Christmas store.
6.  Top 12 Speech Winners – Lunch and Park / Mrs. L. Thompson would like to take the 12 students that participated in the speech contest to lunch and the park. SIT decided that the school will pay for transportation out of Fall Carnival money and students will pay for their own lunch.
7.  Parent Table in the Cafeteria / Custodians should put down the “Parent Table”. Mrs. Dunn will make a “Parent Table” sign to put on the table. All parents should eat lunch at this table so that classrooms have enough room for their students to eat at their assigned table.
8.  SIP Review / When reviewing data we saw 5th grade Science scores are high. What are we doing in there that we could also do in Reading and Math?
EOY iReady suggestion would be to take Diagnostic in the classroom broken down into smaller test sessions. Some grades saw big increases while doing this.
Make sure you are following your PDSA cycle. Ms. A. Thompson has slightly changed her to give a small reward for improvement and a bigger award for proficient. Students are showing more interest and motivation.
