Shoes
Actors will need to supply their own shoes:
Women will need black character shoes (1 or 1 ½ inch heel).
Men wear black leather-soled shoes.
All actors may need to supply tap shoes. Roustabout has some to loan out as well. If actors have tap shoes, they should bring them on the first day of camp.
These stores carry character shoes:
Online: www.dancewearsolutions.com or www.discountdance.com
Local Stores:

Makeup Kits
Roustabout provides wigs and wig caps, hairspray, gel, curling irons and bobby pins. Actors will need to bring their own “Personal Makeup Kit” (plastic baggie will do) with the following items by July 5th: lipstick, eyeliner and eye shadow (we will let you know what colors you will need); blush; and make-up remover wipes. If you have your own hair brush or comb and curling iron, please bring it.
Actor Attitude/Work ethic
We want everyone to love this experience, and we anticipate that all actors will arrive on time and be prepared for rehearsal. Roustabout’s staff will work to make the process fulfilling and the goals meaningful and fun.
Actors agree to achieve the goals outlined by staff for music and script memorization, proficiency in dance work, blocking memorization, etc. by the dates set. Actors also agree to be attentive and helpful during all rehearsals and dedicated to making this the best show possible.
Roustabout reserves the right to dismiss any student who consistently arrives late, is consistently unprepared or intentionally disrupts rehearsal. No refund is given if the actor is dismissed from the cast for these reasons.
Refunds
If the actor decides not to participate, refunds of the remainder must be requested in writing (snail mail or email) on or before the first day of Camp. No refunds can be given after this date.
Cleanup and Set Breakdown
At the end of each rehearsal, all actors will be given time to help return the room to its original condition.
After the last show, all actors help with final strike which typically lasts until about 2 ½ hours after curtain drops. The strike is extremely well organized: we will not waste anyone’s time! The cast will be dismissed once the entire breakdown is complete
We’re looking forward to working with you this summer!
