Taieri Carnival Saturday 3 March: This meet is our big fundraiser of the year. We encourage all our swimmers who can swim 25m + to enter this meet. It is a fun meet with all pbs not only receiving a ribbon but going into the draw to win $20 cash.

We ask for parent help in a variety of ways – timekeeping, food, sponsorship.

Entries cost $5 per event. Please talk to coaches re events for your child to enter. This meet is open to swimmers from any Club.

Swimmers generally need to be at Mosgiel Pool by 8.45am. This meet has two sessions with a one hour (approx.) break in between. The second session and prizegiving is completed about 4.30pm.

Taieri Club Champs: This meet is only for Taieri Club swimmers ie swimmers from other clubs are not allowed to enter. Distances of races are dictated by age group. This is another great event for our swimmers. There are no entry costs, but parents will be asked to help timekeep. There are cups/trophies for overall winners. Club Champs runs on a Tuesday and Wednesday 6-7.30pm (approx.). Tuesday night is fly, medley and 400 free. Wednesday night is free, back and breastroke events. You do not have to attend both nights.

Mile Badge: Taieri swimmers have the opportunity to swim one mile non stop in less than 60 minutes and be presented with a badge at Taieri Swim Club Prizegiving. This is a major achievement. Swimmers can swim any stroke, can swap strokes at each length if they want but must not stop.

Prizegiving: Taieri Club has two prizegivings. Tuesday 27 March is for our Squad swimmers and Wed 28 March for our Junior Groups. After presentations, there is a bbq and cake and children can then have a fun swim. We start at 6pm and finish up about 7.15pm.
