Artman Senior Living Community Opens New Memory Care Household

For Immediate Release

Ambler, PA (April 16, 2016) - Artman senior living community announced today that it has begun to accept admission reservations for its new memory care household. Outfitted with private and semi-private suites, the new household provides accommodations and services for individuals who are coping with Alzheimer’s disease or other memory impairment.

Designed to emulate a warm, gracious home environment, the new household features a country kitchen, intimate dining room, comfortable parlors for recreation and relaxation, and secure outdoor gardens. Additionally, the home-like layout complements Artman’s newly introduced approach to memory care, called Inspiring Today. “Inspiring Today aims to create a meaningful daily life for each resident, while nurturing independence and fostering individual spirits,” says Community Life Director Katelyn McKinley.

McKinley explains that Inspiring Today embraces an individualized approach to resident care and service, and promotes person-to-person or small group experiences according to each resident’s preferences and pastimes. “We cover a diversity of interests including fitness, spiritual expression, civic service, brain games, reminiscence, and creative expression,” she says.

Other amenities that supplement the new memory care household include an innovation called the Quiet Lounge, a portable activity center on wheels that promotes calm and stimulates curiosity, as well as a memory café that gives memory-impaired residents and their family members an authentic coffeehouse environment in which to socialize with others who share their situation.

Artman is located at 250 N. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, PA. To inquire about admission or arrange a tour, call
