Blessed Louis Martin Council #15256

Ashburn, VA

Subject: Grand Knight’s Situation Report (SITREP) #9March 2014

Membership and Degree Updates:Thirteen Brothers of the council completed their Journey to full Knighthood at a 3d degree ceremonial hosted by our council on 8 February. Father Guest also attended as the host council Chaplain. Our membership blitz will occur this month on the weekend of 22-23 March. Brothers are needed to assist in the Narthex after all masses. A 2d Degree is scheduled 26 March at St. John the Apostle. If you are a 1st Degree Knight and are available on that Wednesday evening, please contact me or Brother Jeff Peiffer . Our next 1st Degree will be Monday, 21 April and after a robust recruiting effort this month, I expect this will be a large class as well.

Recent Events:On February 8th we hosted a 3d Degree exemplification with over 120 participants. This was followed immediately by the Northern Virginia caucus. Also in February, we hosted the District #18 Basketball free throw championship. On February 22d, officers of the council met and had lunch with our sponsored seminarian, James Majewski. The State Council was successful in gaining a new insurance liability carrier in the Hanover Co. after we learned that the Hartford Co. would no longer provide our coverage.
