LEDON wins EnergieGenie 2015 innovation award
Accolade for new 7 W LED Candlelight lamp
In the context of the Wels energy efficiency trade fair, LEDON received the EnergieGenie 2015 innovation award for its 7 W A60 LED Candlelight lamp. Every year, this renowned prize is awarded by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management, together with the land of Upper Austria, to the latest and most innovative products in the sphere of power engineering.
Light similar to candlelight
The independent expert jury honoured the extraordinarily warm white light of the dimmable LED lamp with a colour temperature of 2000 K. The colour impression it conveys is that of a burning candle or dimmed incandescent lamp, although in contrast to these, it still retains this light colour when dimmed up to its full intensity of 350 lm. Furthermore, the LEDON Candlelight lamp impressed the jury on account of its completely flicker-free light, beam angle of 260 degrees, service life of 25,000 hours and 100,000 on/off switching cycles. In terms of energy efficiency, it allows potential energy savings of up to 85 per cent compared to conventional light sources.
