Meetings
Mondays, 7:30 p.m., First Presbyterian Church
Please check troop calendar (address below) for federal holidays.
NO meeting if Troop is at Summer Camp/High Adventure/Philmont.
Mondays, 7:00 – 7:30 p.m., Instructors present for completingrank requirements(more below).
Patrols
Cherokee, Cobra, Moose, Panther, Viking, Wildcat, Staff/Corps
Positions within each patrol: Patrol Leader, Assistant Patrol Leader, Quartermaster.
Elections held in fall (October) and spring (April) for patrol AND troop positions.
Uniforms
Class A
BSA shirt, pants, belt, socks, AND Troop 74 scarf and merit badge sash
As follows: Boards of Review, Court of Honor, Pancake Feed, Veterans’ Day Parade, etc.
Class B
BSA shirt, pants, belt, socks
Troop meetings.
Class C
Troop 74 T-shirt (purchased through troop), pants or jeans
As allowed and requested.
Footwear is required in all classes

Ranks & Merit Badges
Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, Star, Life, Eagle
Merit Badges are NOT required for Scout, Tenderfoot, Second, & First Class rank advancement.
HOWEVER,
a MINIMUM of 21 badges must be earned for EAGLE of which 12 are required by BSA regulations.
Scouts SHOULD work on merit badges as soon as possible ESPECIALLY the 12 Eagle-required:
Camping, Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship in the Nation
Citizenship in the World, Communications, Cycling OR Hiking OR Swimming
Emergency Preparedness OR Lifesaving, Environmental Science
Family Life,First Aid, Personal Fitness, and Personal Management.
