Explanatory notes

1This unit standard must be assessed against on-job.

2Worksite policies and procedures refer to documented policies and to documented or other directions provided to staff. These may include, but are not limited to, ways of managing health and safety, environmental considerations, quality, and production, and must conform to legislation. Examples include standard operating procedures, company health and safety plans, on-site briefings, and supervisor’s instructions.

1.1Job specifications are obtained and recorded on paper in accordance with worksite policies and procedures.

Rangedrawing, measurements, number of units, purpose, types of materials, construction and design detail.

1.2Required componentry is listed in accordance with job specifications.

Rangetype, quantities, dimensions, materials.

1.3Cutting list is checked to ensure correctness in accordance with job specifications.

1.4Cutting list specifies job details in accordance with worksite policies and procedures.

Rangenumber of items, component names, component quantities, component dimensions, job number;

may include but is not limited to – client name, rough sizes.

1.5Special requirements for each component are specified in the comments column.

Rangemay include but is not limited to – rebates, mitres, mouldings, clashings, veneer.

1.6The cutting list is stored in accordance with worksite policies and procedures.

1.7Equipment and work area are left clean, clear, and safe in accordance with worksite policies and procedures.
