- Funding for AGM
UOW Tennis Club got the funding accepted of the amount of 50$ for the event. (receipt below)The total amount spent was $78,80
During the AGM there have been several goals set for the next year:
- Take part in the O-week and gain new members
- Organize the round robin tournaments
- Create a separate group and schedule for the experienced players that could qualify to next years’ Uni Games
Reports of the last year:
President- Monika Wyszomirska
- The UOW Tennis Club worked well during last year, the schedule for the trainings was adjusted individually so that more members can attend as many sessions as possible
- There was an increased growth of the club when it comes to more advanced players who could possibly take part in the Uni Games next year
- The payments for the courts went smoothly and with the experience form last year we were able to prepare the training schedule easily and fast
- Apart from the players who paid for the membership for the whole session, there have been an option to come and pay each time which in my opinion made students even more keen to attend trainings
- There has been a big help from the new members, especially John Hyun who was able to organize the o-week during my absence and who also made a club more social
- Events during last year:
- As a sports club we mainly organized the sports events but in the future that will be extended to more social meetings as well. We had enough members to organize trainings at least three-four times a week with 4 members on each court. Additionally, once a week we organized a free tennis classes from our money and the money that we collected from the members, what enabled them to come if they missed their own group or for new members to participate and try to get into tennis. That part was successful and attracted some new members.
Treasurer- AnirudhDhawan
- Organized the membership payments and court hire during last year and collaborated with the sports hub , regarding booking the courts
- For the next semester the clear deadlines should be set so that the payments are efficient
- The bank statement includes only the amount of the money left from the last session and the increase by the re-affiliation. All memberships were paid straight to the sports hub in cash.
